What is a Pregnancy Bellycast? A Bellycast is a beautiful 3D plaster gauze cast taken of your pregnant tum usually in the final months of pregnancy. It takes about one hour to complete and, once dried, the cast can be painted and decorated. Please click here to visit the beautiful gallery and website of Francine Krause, the artist who first created the Bellycast concept. A Bellycast is a pleasurable, creative and fun way to explore your pregnancy and delight in the changes taking place in your body as you create new life. Many women are choosing to create these gorgeous casts to celebrate and honour their profound journey into motherhood and as a lasting memory of this incredible time in their lives. How much does it cost? A private Bellycasting session costs $95 and includes a pot of Gesso primer to prepare your cast prior to painting. How do I book an appointment? We offer belly casting in both Melbourne and Brisbane. If you would like to find out more about having a private casting session or book an appointment (we also do gift vouchers) then please call Kat on 0439 636 958. 'Blossoming Bellies' Women's Circle If you would like an opportunity to connect with other pregnant women and maybe just have a little 'me' time before the baby comes, Kat runs a once monthly pregnancy women's circle in Belgrave (an hour from Melbourne city centre). This circle is designed to create a safe, sacred space where pregnant women (and women who are trying to get pregnant) can come to share stories, ask questions and delve more deeply into their pregnancy journey through journaling, meditation, creative visualisation for labour and birthing and connecting with other women. You don't have to have had a Divine Feminine mother shower or a belly casting to be a part of this group. Contact Kat on 0439 636 958 for more details.
